Thats one point. The others include fundraising (Dems have been awful this cycle while GOP racking) and to excite the base. There is no losing angle for Dems and the leftists
I guess so. The court isn't supposed to make it public until the end of June or first of July. That's reason enough to want to go ahead and get it out there if you are seeing these mid term polls coming out.

Lets see how the polling looks next week. I suspect a significant bump for leftists

Intent. The right has nothing to gain from a leak, the left does. The left is running the federal govt and its a complete shit show, so why not leak to distract the Ricky types from whats going on? And besides, these make great fundraising opps so I expect to see emails/texts coming through by this evening
100%

The Left is the only side that gains anything from this:
Unite the base
Distraction from Shit Show Joe and his failed administration
Fundraising
Wedge issue with Republicans
Non stop media coverage which will paint the Republicans as evil

If public option and not the construction is the sc’s guide. The country is done and we need to start over.

Following the entire abortion debate all my life, It's never been a hot topic item for me (unlike my brother- man rabid anti-abortion). Could see both sides. For a long time I've decided that abortion should be legal especially if you go back 50 years to the RVW days when a bunch of old men in Congress were telling women what they could do with their bodies. Today's Congress is more equal in numbers so I don't know how that pans out. Just curious- what happened to that "abortion pill" women could take within 48 hours of copulation to prevent conception? Haven't heard anything about it in years.

I remember several posters here saying there was no way Roe v Wade would go away, even with conservative justices. They said that was just a liberal boogeyman. They said the christian right was loud but not overly impactful in today's world. To be honest, I didn't think it would happen this quickly either

Because God forbid their irresponsible-ass parents get a fucking job and provide for them, right?

It's almost like they should be receiving some of MY money that I worked for and they didn't work for, that was taken from me against my will. Oh, wait...

I believe the argument was "Abortion would be outlawed". This ruling, if it happens, simply returns the issue to the states and as long as there are Liberal states there will always be abortion; even if there is no Roe v Wade. But, yes, it will be much harder to get now.
