Get ready for the movie coming out June 24. Lisa Marie really approves of the movie that depicts the life of her father. She said it visibly moved her children to watch the life of their grandfather on screen. Oh, and Tom Hanks plays Colonel Tom Parker.

Austin Butler is getting rave reviews for his portrayal of Elvis.

Apparently, Butler also did all his own singing in the movie.

One of my fav Twilight Zone (90s I think) episodes was an Elvis impersonator going back in time and meeting young Elvis. Getting in a fight and killing Elvis. So he agrees to live his life out as Elvis since he knows what is going to happen.

There was a QAnon story going around that the military had executed Tom Hanks.

If CTC were to procure a thrift store veteran's jacket in order to save 10% at Waffle House, that would be stolen valor. Tom Hanks takes that bar and drags it all the way to the bottom of the Hudson

How many of his roles have colonel or capt in them? And how many titles does he have? All I'm saying

I went to a halloween party in college dressed as Elvis. I had gold sparkly pants on, which seemed fun at the time, but I got lucky and had to walk home the next morning through the mean streets of Iowa City in my gold lame' pants.

still worth it.

I want to not like this, but dammit I think I'm gonna. Not gonna lie, when I saw him start to shimmy I got chills. I can't imagine what it must have been like in the day to experience this sound and movement. I can completely understand how the women lost their collective minds.

Wasn't he a pilot in that movie where he was shipwrecked?

He was a sergeant in Forrest Gump.

No. He was a passenger on the plane.

I didn't include Gump because the question specifically mentioned Colonel and Captain. (I included Meade because General is a higher rank)

He was. In the US naval rank (or rate) system, a captain is at pay grade O-6, which for land and air services (Army/Air Force/Marines) is the grade of a colonel. The US Coast Guard also uses the naval pay grades. So a naval captain outranks an Army captain.

That makes sense. Astronauts were all pilots in the pre-Space Shuttle years.
