All union workers are pieces of shit
They can't make in the real world without their "brothers".
It's sad that they're incapable of critical thinking.
But they goose step into anything they are served.
Change my mind.

Does this include the policemen's unions?

Thinking $100K is an impressive number is laughable.

The state I'm in (Victoria) is well renowned for militant unions (construction) to the point that projects here cost 25% more than any other state.
End result is construction companies not bidding for projects here.
But the decline in work isn't the unions fault- it's the construction companies turning their backs on the workers

Coal miners(underground not pit mines) deserve anything their union gets them. The Federal Reserve couldn't print enough money for me to work an underground mine. And those fuckers that climb towers to change the light bulbs, them too.

Once again, no one is interested in your interpretation of civil rights.
I'll gladly debate you minute by minute, hourly, daily, monthly, yearly or decades on end. Your opinion is not worth the effort you pour into your replies.

I dunno......seems that there is a correlation between lower union membership rates and income inequality

Yes, let's reward mediocre longevity over quality. Always a good idea.

Howie, I have to disagree with the title of the post. Most are just falling in line, being led by "uniquely viewed" union leadership.HowieTheHat wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 1:53 am I can go as long as you care to continue the dialog. Its not me prolonging it.
It's the protection afforded to those who are horrifically inefficient as employees that's the problem.

From someone who has been on both sides...
Every single blue collar worker in America owes a debt of gratitude to unions of the past. That is just factual and cannot be denied.
That said,
Unions today have become political vehicles pushing progressive and woke agendas and "Social Justice"- whatever that means; often times more so than the things they should be focusing on. Protection of useless fucks is a particular gripe of many.
I will say that there actually are many really good union workers and they dislike the lazy asses as much as everyone else. When I used to discipline the fucknuts who were not used to being held accountable I had numerous union members come up to me and say "Thank you. Finally someone did something about that asshole."
Overall I'm not a fan of unions but if you have good union leadership that is not overtly hostile to their employer it actually is kind of a nice partnership.

Re: All union workers are pieces of shit
My last supervisor gig was in a union facility (UAW) before I started my own business. I was amazed at the anti- union sentiment of many the workers. Of course there were the militant few but I'd say about half not only hated their union but they were openly republican or conservative and VERY pro 2nd amendment.
