I am hoping DeSantis wins the Rep. nod and Trump runs on his own. Two Dem candidates taking votes away from each other would be fun too. Let's just turn this shit into pro wrestling already.

you joke, but that's pretty much exactly the play book that Trump went by. Trump got involved with Vince McMahon several years ago promoting wrestling matches. Trump has said that he learned a shit load about marketing from Vince. So much that he basically started crafting his entire marketing ideas around how Vince did it for professional wrestling. The more outlandish and ridiculous and the more people will eat it up.

Group of former Republican and Democratic officials are forming a new political party called Forward, in an attempt to appeal to what they call the “moderate, common-sense majority.”

“Political extremism is ripping our nation apart, and the two major parties have failed to remedy the crisis,” David Jolly, Christine Todd Whitman and Andrew Yang wrote in a Washington Post op-ed published Wednesday. “Today’s outdated parties have failed by catering to the fringes. As a result, most Americans feel they aren’t represented.”

Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang speaks during a forum on gun safety at the Iowa Events Center on August 10, 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Andrew Yang is 'breaking up' with the Democratic Party and is now an independent
Jolly is a former Republican congressman from Florida, Whitman a former Republican governor of New Jersey and Yang is a former Democratic presidential and New York mayoral candidate. The three will merge their political organizations into the new party, whose launch was first reported by Reuters.

I could get behind something like this.
I think a lot of people could be...unless they jump on the woke train.

What did President Trump campaign on that was "outlandish" or "ridiculous"?
Was the idea that we should enforce our borders and immigration laws "outlandish"? Was yhe idea that third-world countries should pay for the military protection we give them "ridiculous"? Was it "outlandish" to suggest we should try to keep muslim terrorists out of our country?

well, just to give one example. It was outlandish and ridiculous to suggest that Mexico was going to pay for a UUGGGE wall. And the people ate it up. The concept of border protection was what the people wanted to hear, but he carried it to the levels of ridiculous. Like he did for most things.
