Pete Davidson
Remember the good old days when we'd tell people to sign out if they can't handle being trolled?
Pete Davidson is reportedly 'in trauma therapy' because of Kanye West's social media bullying
Kanye West's antagonistic and often threatening social media posts about Pete Davidson reportedly forced the comic to seek professional help during his relationship with Kanye's ex, Kim Kardashian. A source close to the "Saturday Night Live" alum tells People Pete "has been in trauma therapy" since April, "in large part" because of Kanye's ongoing harassment. "The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he's had to seek out help," the source explains. The rapper did take brief break from bullying Pete until Monday, Aug. 8, when news of Kim and Pete's recent split apparently inspired Kanye to share a fake New York Times headline reading, "Skete Davidson Dead at 28." The post had been taken down before the end of the day, but not before fans chastised Kanye for going too far, according to screenshots of the Instagram post and its comments that surfaced on social media. Despite the messy Kanye interactions, Pete "has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she's been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship," according to People's source, who added, "Moving forward he just wants to focus on his career." Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, reportedly ended their romance last week after about nine months of dating.

I, for one, feel just horrible for Pete. I hope he gets the help he needs. Imagine having to endure banging Arianna Grande and then Kim Kardashian and also having to put up with a troll.

Grow up. It shows strength to ask for help. The true pussy move is letting your emotions rot into toxic masculinity.

The whole thing was a PR stunt perpetrated by Kris Karjenner. He's talked about his problems in the past, getting involved with that Klan was the worst thing for him. And she's so pathetic trying to emulate Adriana the whole time.

You know on the surface that sounds mostly right, but I can't help thinking though, regardless of whether we are talking about a man or a woman, sometimes in life you have to force yourself to toughen up a little. Part of maturing is realizing a lot of people won't like you, and that is ok. Even if your coping mechanism is just saying "whatever". Life is hard enough without letting words spoken by people who don't matter take you down.

Needing help shows weakness. Asking for help shows you realize you are weak.

Some people can flip that switch on their own. Others need to learn the tools to change that thinking. That's literally what therapy does. It doesn't solve your problems for you, it gives you the tools to solve them for yourself going forward.B-Tender wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 8:12 pm You know on the surface that sounds mostly right, but I can't help thinking though, regardless of whether we are talking about a man or a woman, sometimes in life you have to force yourself to toughen up a little. I'd love to hear why you guys think the suicide rate for men is almost 4x the rate for women, if not the stigma against asking for help when you can't help yourself.

you are looking at that problem backwards.
the reason there are so many crazy women is because the men let theirs cull themself out of the herd.

There's probably something to your saying that men don't seek help when they need it, but part of the higher suicide rate is most likely due to men generally using "more effective" methods, like shooting themselves.JCW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 10:14 pmSome people can flip that switch on their own. I'm guessing the attempted suicide rate is a lot more equal.

Interesting. I looked it up, women are 3x more likely to try it. Men are 2-4x more likely to succeed.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 10:21 pmThere's probably something to your saying that men don't seek help when they need it, but part of the higher suicide rate is most likely due to men generally using "more effective" methods, like shooting themselves.JCW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 10:14 pmSome people can flip that switch on their own. Re: Pete Davidson
so, women are 3 x more likely than man to attempt suicide. But, because they usually fail at that as well, then men succeed in killing themselves 2 to 4 times more often?JCW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 10:29 pmInteresting. That's a lot to digest. So, let's just throw out some numbers.
If we combine all of these stats you have thrown out, let's start with men.
1,000 men and 12 of them attempt suicide. 8 of those attempts are successful. Their success rate is 8/12 or 2/3.
1,000 women and 12 x 3 = 36 of them attempt suicide. Women are 2 to 4 times less successful, meaning 1/3 to 1/6. So they are successful 6 to 12 times.
I call that a statistical draw.

Toxic behavior. Toxic masculinity is a bullshit term used to make it seem like being a man is worse than being a woman or that women can't have toxic tendencies. Which we all know they can.
