I heard that on the radio. That has to be a huge problem. They keep that fuel at -423 F (or some insane temp). Obviously, that can't be done in those huge tanks sitting on a launch pad for an extended period of time.

This fuel leak is exactly what they encountered on the last trial run in June, but they said it wouldn't be a problem.
Regardless of all the technical snags, thunderstorms ultimately would have prevented a liftoff. Dark clouds gathered over the launch site as soon as Blackwell-Thompson halted the countdown, with thunder echoing across the coast.

Saw that this morning on the video feed from the launch site. Looked thunderstormy.

And why am I not surprised given the rock bottom state of what is considered journalism today that the main story of this rocket program hasn't even been mentioned once. President George W Bush ordered the shutdown of the Space Shuttle program in 2005. President Obama was able to extend it to around 2010. All on NASA's promise that this rocket program would be up and running "soon". So, for a dozen years, the World's greatest Space program has had the total embarrassment of relying on Russia (with 40 year old technology) to get so much as box of saltine crackers (forget the astronauts and tons of supplies) into orbit and up to the Space Station (that we paid 80% for). I will hand it to Russia. Over 12 years and 1 scary abort a few years ago, they had a 100% safety record. Compare that to our own Fed govt program (NASA) who managed to kill 14 Astronauts in only 17 years.

Anyhoo, Friday is the next launch window and a chance to get this typical 20 years overdue, massively over budget federal govt POS rocket program off the launch pad and have it go (Wait for it) back to moon where we were a half century ago. *US flag unfurling gets stuck in it's tube*

there is no end to the list of places you could get the money out of the budget.
