IS Shohei Ohtani.
Aaron Judge is having a hell of a year, but the following can not be ignored.
Look where Ohtani ranks in Average, HR, and RBI. Then go look up his ERA, SO, and WHIP as a pitcher.

They really should rename that award to Player Of The Year. The Angels are 27 games out of first.

Judge. Angels wouldve finished fourth without Ohtani

P Verlander- Astros. Ungodly stats. 16-3 in 24 games with a 1.84 ERA, opposing BA .190. A big reason the Astros have the best record in the AL.

What a burn!
Tony Gonsolin (Dodgers) is 16-1, 2.10 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, .169 OBA
Dude was eye-balling the Cy Young Award with one month left and then BAM!... he's on the 15-day IL and could miss 3 starts.
Brutal!

I don't watch much baseball, but I have caught a couple of Yankee games. The 2 I saw, they are one big error machine. Sloppy defense.

16 games left, and what does he need? 2 HR's?

2 to tie. 3 for the AL record.

The other thing he could get is the Triple Crown. He's only about .002 behind the leader, and he's way ahead in RBI and, of course, HR's.
P.S. And he'd join Paul Goldschmidt in a two-leaguer TC

Judge is a lock for MVP. No one else is even in the conversation.
But the guy I'm
REALLY routing for right now is Albert Pujois. I'd love to see him get 2 more HR's!
Excellent ball player and all around nice guy! He deserves it.

After Maris hit 61 HR's, he had an asterisk next to in the record books for decades.

Like your Astros have an asterisk next to their WS title.

Tough to argue now. At the time, Judge was floundering a bit. Ohtani is such a special talent.

OUch. That hurts man. Just for that, starting today I'm changing my daily Astros World Champions t-shirts from black to red.

There won't be any astericks next to Judge's name. He hit 60 HR's in less than 154 games.

I was going to question Judge winning MVP. HR hitters almost always also have the top RBI's. But I saw this morning he also leads the AL in batting average (like .320). That's a unanimous MVP winner right there.

I said I agree that not only should he be AL MVP but it should be unanimous. Stop being a retard. And BTW, the Yankees aren't going anywhere in the playoffs even with Judge.

You sure got off that Verlander bandwagon pretty quick.
