funny. i said that exact same thing about covid when it was starting to spread in the US. I said, "Its spreading everywhere, why is this Trump's fault". I was quckly told by every lefty on this sight that it was Trump's fault anyway. and then they would name all of the things he did wrong.
You think he did a good job in handling COVID?
You think Biden hasn't caused inflation?
Biden caused GLOBAL inflation?
No. The policies of the Biden administration have contributed to the inflation. Is this a tough concept to understand?
Whatever gets you through the night, Karen.
Yes or no: Do you think the policies of the Biden administration have contributed to inflation? And try not to

If anything good comes of this, besides the GOP taking the House, its that this may be the end of Trump's influence. Desantis' strong win puts him front and center for the 2024 nomination. And hopefully Joe thinks he helped stem the red wave and runs again

The republicans have some big stains on them right now that they just won't wash off. People absolutely hate these moronic calls for "election denying". And all of the anti-vaxxer/necro shit that has been spread around. And throw on top of that that the damage this Roe V Wade fiasco has caused.

Yes, but his slice of the "blame pie" is not nearly as significant as those who received corporate tax breaks under the previous administration.

On a happier note:

The White House is livid after WNBA star Brittney Griner has been transferred to a forced labor colony to serve out a nine-and-a-half year sentence after her conviction for possession of a small quantity of cannibas oil.

Griner "is now on her way to a penal colony," her attorneys said in a Wednesday statement, noting that "we do not have any information on her exact current location or her final destination." The lawyers said they won't know of her precise whereabouts for possibly two weeks. "In accordance with the standard Russian procedure, the attorneys, as well as the US Embassy, should be notified upon her arrival at her destination. Notification is given via official mail and normally takes up to two weeks to be received."

I'm sorry, but what's the incentive to expedite from the Russian perspective?

She stupidly brought something to a foreign country and is now facing (radical) consequences. Yes, it does feel a bit extreme and archaic, but she has no one to blame but herself.

I guess the Second Coming of Jesus (wouldn't it actually be his third time around?) might have to wait a couple years. 538 gave her 98% chance of being reelected at the beginning of October. When I visited her district this past summer she had tons of support. Guess the 7% of undecided/unaffiliated voters got sick of her shit.

yeah, i just looked. going into last night 538 had her at 97% chance of winning. But if you look, there's only 3 polls that is based on and the most recent one had her opponent ahead by 5%.

Even if she loses, she has set herself up pretty good to be a political "influencer" now. I would imagine she could get a media job pretty quickly if she is ready to pivot.

These are pretty lame jokes but her timing is very good.

so do the TV networks in states like Georgia get together and fund campaigns for 3rd party candidates just so they can cause a runoff and get $millions more in ad revenue?

I mean, that guy Oliver, got about 2% of the vote and yet look at what he has caused.

At 9:30 a.m. ET Wednesday, Mehmet Oz called John Fetterman to concede the Pennsylvania Senate race.

And then he released a statement saying, in part: “We are facing big problems as a country and we need everyone to put down their partisan swords and focus on getting the job done. With bold leadership that brings people together, we can create real change.”
