only if they manage to have live cameras turned on and streaming as it approaches and makes the landing. if they don't then I am so done with them.

Yes, how dare they not spend another $500 million so Animal can watch streaming from the comfort of his home.

Have you ever wondered why, going back to Apollo 11-17, to the Martian landings over the last 30 years, there has never been a camera or video recorder placed on the outside showing the landings? Have you ever considered there may be a reason for that? Like the impossibility of those surviving unshielded from the environment of interstellar radiation and probably many other reasons.

I find it hard to believe they can't steam this from the airplane hanger in the Arizona desert where they're faking all of this from.

I think the cameras/ video recorders not being able to survive unshielded is maybe a huge reason. Probably the main reason- they are given an XX sum of money (say $ 2 Billion), told the parameters of the mission sometime lasting years- go build it. Spending money on something that records the first very few minutes of the mission at landing is probably at the very bottom of the list.

Plus, a group of college kids this time have given them a camera to take that they are going to toss out onto the moon before the Odysseus lands and these kid's camera is going to film the whole thing and wifi it back to earth. I guess they ordered a shield of some kind off amazon.

Probably why a "group of college kids" aren't allowed anywhere near around the planning stages of a multi-billion dollar space project.

i guess we will know one way or another by tomorrow at this time.

Also flying on IM-1 is EagleCam, which was built by students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This camera system will deploy from Odysseus as it nears the lunar surface and attempt to snap photos of the lander's touchdown.

It was because of a bunch of "rocket scientists" that Challenger and Colombia blew up. They can't do any worse.

Cool. Sure is a lot easier when you don't have to factor in Humans on board. Kids stuff compared to what NASA did 6 decades ago. 6 decades.

Considering landing on the moon doesn't require one.

And yet you still won't get those photos until 2 days later and forget streaming some video or some shit from the comfort of your Lazy-Boy.

Helps when you don't launch (Challenger) in temps below freezing or rely (Columbia) on glued on heat shield technology from the 1960's.
