Yeah, and this crap will continue. Term limits might help. However none of the congresscritters would allow a vote on it.

This is such bullshit.
Now would be the time to roll back spending, as the economy could better absorb the loss of fat federal payrolls.
Can’t happen. Imagine the damage to Maryland real estate markets. The horror!

10% cut across the board. It's the fairest way. It treats Dim and R priorities equally.

I read yesterday that the F-35 program startup and initial acquisition costs are 400 BILLION.
I like nice military toys but that seems insane.

Defense contractors. Not quite as good as the Israel lobby, but close.

I'd be happy with a 50% cut in defense spending.

Do you love the Russians or the terrorists?
I can't imagine it ever being possible to significantly cut military spending because that's the response if they even cut the growth of spending let alone cut it.
The Trump wall is expected to cost about 7 weeks worth of the war in Afghanistan in its 17th year of operations.

Yeah, because Russia wouldnt want a presence on the North American continent
No, it doesn't. If it did a war of aggression against canada would not be the way, they prefer to subvert governments, install friendly candidates. Canada is really not threatened by anyone.

Than why do they even have a military?
To defend their borders, foreign trade and participate in international missions. Every country in the world maintains a military.

Wrong
Andorra and Liechtenstein are two that do not. And there are some like Iceland that do not have an active military force
They both have defense agreements with neighbouring countries whose militaries protect them. Kind like what you're pretending Canada has, except in reality.

You said every nation in the world maintains a military.
Yes, I was mistaken on that, a few of the teeny tiny ones instead use the military protection of larger neighbours. So?
