Seriously, what is auto insurance like when it comes to that?

We pay about 2300 a year for full coverage insurance on 2 vehicles in Mass. The auto policies go over the state minimum in many areas, notably liability (damage to property) at 100k (5k min) and 80k boosts to uninsured/underinsured drivers as we are surrounded by NH and RI drivers with no real insurance regulations.

If we cause an accident, its 300 bucks. If we are no fault, we have the waiver so we deal with our insurance the entire time, because when you go through an at fault claim with the persons insurance that hit you, you are not their customer and they will low ball skull fuck you over on the repair. With the waiver our insurance fixes the car at no cost, the proper way, then litigates the amount from the other persons insurance.

If we claim other damages, its 500 deductible, and hail would be one.

How many people driving around with golf ball dimpled cars? Myth Busters has actually proven it increases fuel mileage, so that may be a plus.

If you only carry liability, it won't cover hail damage. Full coverage in Texas is around $2,200 a year which depends a shit load on age and car, etc.

I got some really bad hail damage on my pickup a couple of years ago. I collected the insurance money (around $8,000 and its a company vehicle, so my company collected it). But I never got it fixed, not because I didn't want it fixed, but because it was going to take forever. It has to stay in the shop for a couple of months. And insurance only covers a rent car for a few weeks, and I can't do my job in a rent car. So, I just said fuck it and drive it with the dents. I will probably hate the hit on the trade in, but I can't be without a pickup for 2 months.

Basic insurance in Texas include medical as well, or is it just a blanket amount to cover everything that may come up? What about things like glass, which can obviously break with hail like that?

I dont have commercial insurance, but our personal policy has to pay for a rental for as long as it takes to repair or settle a claim. May as well keep the 8k honestly. You will continue to have storms like that, the truck looks better when rolling in a job site as you are not charging too much..

We carry full coverage with a 500.00 deductible on 5 vehicles...about 4300.00 a year. Hail is covered, (used twice in the last 10 years) and in case we have an accident they subrogate the other guy's insurance after deductible if it's their fault.

Word of advice, do not try to ride out a hailstorm of any kind in a large uninsulated steel building, You will honestly think the world is coming to an end. Personal experience on more than one occasion.

my last ranch had a big metal shop with half of it turned into a barndominium of sorts. I was out there one time by myself and a huge storm rolled through. Big hail for about 20 minutes. I stood in that shop with the door up and watched it and the noise was un fucking believable. That was like a 20 minute bull ride that I thought was never going to end. lightning striking everywhere. i had no idea what would happen if lightening hit the building i was standing in.

Dumb question, can a person use hail like just as ice? Is there no acid rain in it? I don't know I'm stoned. Yes I know it's early it's called wake and bake get with the times you guys!
