And there you go. One of those teams is a top tier football program and one is not. That top tier program won a recent national championship not in 1939 but this century. See the difference

Its going to be weird seeing PAC-12 teams in the BIG-10 now.

Final 4 should be:

Alabama
Georgia
Michigan
Washington

If Florida St wins by 50 points or more, they might get in instead of Georgia. Everyone is going to want a chance to see Alabama v Georgia again.

well, i have never had any nice things to say about the longhorns. but it sure seems like the talking heads seem to think that they will be one of the 4. I think Floriday State sealed their fate of being left out. So, the decision becomes whether Georgia losing by 3 points, is a bigger deal than Texas losing by 4 to OU. My vote is for Georgia. Who got beat by less and by the better team (Alabama is ranked better than OU). This is just a math problem and Georgia wins the math.

Fair enough. But the Longhorns did have the harder strength of schedule.

what is going to be their best argument is that they beat Alabama in Tuscaloooosa. Everyone thought Alabama was a bust at that point in the season. But both Alabama and Texas got much better as the season wore on. I suppose the same argument for a rematch with Alabama/Georgia could be made for Alabama/Texas. And Texas won one of the big conferences. ugh. its probably going to be texas. i had to go through this same shit with tcu getting in a few years ago. you just never hear the end of it down here.

It's a tough year for the committee. Lots of close calls to be made. They're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I think #1 is pretty clear, but whoever the next 3 are is going to piss off a lot of people.

The committee got it right. It's tough to leave out an undefeated power 5 champion, but if anyone has watched FSU play over the last few weeks, they would know full well that this isnt one of the top 4 teams in the nation

Florida State is already crying, but it's expected.

Their record is their only argument, but winning the ACC is not that impressive

Really, the only 2 teams that have a gripe are Florida State and Georgia. But they both do have some valid arguments.

Alabama is the only team I know that can consistently lose one game in a season and still always make it to the final 4. They are the modern day Notre Dame.

Hey, have you heard where the neutral field is going to be for this year's Losers Bracket Losers Bowl?
