i'm anxious for the butterflies. last spring i had an infestation. I have literally never in my life seen so many butterflies. and they stayed a few weeks. I'm curious if it happens again this year or of last year was just a one off.

Up here the birds and the butterfly's use Point Pelee to direct them south. The butterflies stop and rest there before making the long journey across Lake Erie. When they leave there are literally millions that don't make it. It is a sight to behold.

The Sandhills cranes have returned here. Now when the plum bushes bloom I'll know for sure that spring is here.
