Yeah, like your snow mountain top video, it's all the sun's angle of refraction to the viewer. Walk over a few hundred yards, and it's just a wisp of smoke like off the top or a normal waterfall. Now double rainbows? That's an optical illusion.

Can we talk mirages

Growing up on Galveston Bay I used to see ships big and small like that "floating" above the water. Notice you never see the bottom of the boat, and you only see the mirage at a certain range of distance. Too close or too far, the mirage fails.
