auroras could be seen as far south in the United States as Alabama.
:x What the hell does that mean? Seen in Alabama, but not in Mississippi or Georgia, even though they share a common northern border?

Does it mean aurorae will be seen in Huntsville AL, but not Mobile? And is Florida completely fucked for seeing them at all? :|

It’s because of her the magnetic north pole is located in reference to the actual rotational north pole. The charge downs are directed towards the magnetic north pole.

I see it on a regular basis and I never tire of it.

There was the first wave of a solar flare due to hit tonight and I heard it could be seen as far as Louisiana, with possible internet, GPS and radio outages. It was rated a 4 out of 5.
