Apparently, "Joy" is the creative spin angle the democrats have come up with to camouflage Camilla's ridiculous giggling she does every time she talks. Prepare to hear a lot about the joy she has.

For sure. The campaign is pushing this hard.
They have to make this about emotion because they know the substance of "her" sucks ass.
5 months ago the talk was how she is deeply unpopular and not helping a struggling ticket because of it. Now, the Dims are trying to sell that she is AWESOME!!!!!!!!1
Basically, theyre trying to recreate Barry's "HOPE" campaign.

It certainly helps when you have a willing and compliant media to help spin the narrative

Yes sir, but I'm thinking that whole "Coach Tim" thing isn't going to last.

Remember how the left media crew hyped up Beyonce and Taylor showing up to the dnc for some joy, but it was a lie to get more people to watch so they could fudge they're numbers. Joyous.

its not my spin RD. Read this cut and paste from CNN. You are racist if you make fun of her laugh.

In the five weeks since Kamala Harris upended the 2024 presidential race, the commentariat has used all kinds of phrases to describe Democrats’ euphoria about her sudden White House run.

But there is another electoral force propelling Harris’ candidacy that has barely been noticed: “Black Joy.”

Harris isn’t just “campaigning on joy,” as so many commentators have recently noted. She is also tapping into something called the “Black Joy” movement. Led by Black artists, authors, activists and others, the movement declares that Black people’s humanity will not be defined by trauma or oppression but by something else:

“A joy that no White man can steal.”

That’s how the author Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts describes the movement’s essence in her book, “Black Joy.”

She uses laughter to show that she is free
Can an election turn on how one presidential candidate laughs and the other one doesn’t? That’s one of the quirks that commentators have noticed about this election: Harris laughs a lot, while Trump laughs not so much, if at all.

One CNN analyst noted that Harris will “laugh at herself in the midst of a speech, or in the midst of a press conference or during a ‘60 Minutes’ interview — otherwise serious moments when another politician might try to keep a straight face throughout.”

But there is a racial history behind Harris’ laughter that’s easy to miss.

Black laughter was used as a weapon against Black people long before Trump wielded it against Harris by dismissing her as “Laffin’ Kamala.” Slaveowners created the myth of the “happy-go-lucky darkie” to imply that Black people were happy being enslaved or being second-class citizens. To survive, many Black people played along by flashing a submissive, “just-happy-to-be-here, boss” laughter around White people.

Yet other Black people chose to laugh when and how they wanted — even if White folks didn’t like it.

For those, like RD, who don't know anything about this stuff, I will give a brief summary.

All reputable news sources carry three different types of stories. 1. News. 2. Analysis. 3. Opinion. And they clearly distinguish a story on which of these categories it belongs in so as not to misinform its readers. CNN attempts to be one of these reputable news sources.

News is based only on the known and verified facts of what happened. Analysis is a story based on facts, but then a conclusion is drawn by the writer based on those facts. Opinion is a story based on what a writer thinks about some events that happened.

This story that I posted was categorized as "Analysis" which means that it should be based only on facts and then some conclusions based on those facts.

Feel free to read back through it and separate the facts from conclusions based on those facts. You will see that it is not an analysis story, as they have clearly categorized it at the very beginning. This is a case of media bias where a pure opinion piece is being sold as an analytical representation of the facts. In the media science world, people like RD, who promote this type of misrepresentation in news, are called really dumb.

I was using the generic word "news" because CNN is a news site. It calls itself the "world leader in online news". You called it an "opinion" piece. even after I told you it was tagged an "analysis". its cute that you are trying to worm out of being wrong about this, but hanging it on the use of the word "news" when we are talking about a story on a news site is pretty weak. even for you.

Animal wrote: Wed Aug 28, 2024 7:24 pm For those, like RD, who don't know anything about this stuff, I will give a brief summary.

You called it a news story 3 times.

SPIN IT, BABY! SPIN IT!!!

I was using the generic word "news" because CNN is a news site. It calls itself the "world leader in online news". You called it an "opinion" piece. even after I told you it was tagged an "analysis". its cute that you are trying to worm out of being wrong about this, but hanging it on the use of the word "news" when we are talking about a story on a news site is pretty weak. even for you.

i brought this up as a story about how CNN is creating "stories on their news site" that make it racist to make fun of Camilla's laughing. You have spun it into a debate about whether it is a news story or opinion story and then you accuse me of spinning it? According to CNN, Camilla laughs and giggles all of the time because she wants the whiteys to think she's a "happy go lucky darky". that's a direct quote from the article. From their analysis of the facts and conclusion based on those facts.
