to be fair, its not until around the 3rd school shooting that you sort of start to warm up to the whole thing.WarmBidetWater wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 6:17 pm Quote of the day from ABC News:
"I was scared because I’ve never been in a school shooting," he told ABC News.

they need to put that fucker's father in prison for 20 years for being a dumb ass.
Why were the police not able to verify the online threats?Animal wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:07 pm This case just reinforces the fact that our legal system is based on the fact that you can't do anything to stop a crime until that crime is committed.
Police interviewed this kid a year ago, along with his father, because of online threats the kid made about committing a school shooting. The kid denied making the threats and the father, although admitting there were guns in their house, assured police that the kid did not have access to them.
So, the police had no reason to do anything about it. sorry to bother you.
they didn't go into any details. it was a pretty short article. This isn't the exact same article, but similarReservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:01 pmWhy were the police not able to verify the online threats?Animal wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:07 pm This case just reinforces the fact that our legal system is based on the fact that you can't do anything to stop a crime until that crime is committed.

they could. but they just sent a couple of officers to follow up and blah blah blah. they didn't send some forensic internet specialist that could actually look into exactly who made the threats and where, etc. i get so sick of these cases where they had the person and then lazy follow up work just let's them slip right through.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:01 pmWhy were the police not able to verify the online threats?Animal wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:07 pm This case just reinforces the fact that our legal system is based on the fact that you can't do anything to stop a crime until that crime is committed.

There was no inspection of the home to make sure the weapons were in a cabinet under lock and key, unloaded, and with trigger guards on them?Animal wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:35 pmthey could. but they just sent a couple of officers to follow up and blah blah blah. they didn't send some forensic internet specialist that could actually look into exactly who made the threats and where, etc. i get so sick of these cases where they had the person and then lazy follow up work just let's them slip right through.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:01 pmWhy were the police not able to verify the online threats?Animal wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:07 pm This case just reinforces the fact that our legal system is based on the fact that you can't do anything to stop a crime until that crime is committed.

beats me. but I will go one better. The father just confessed to buying his son THE gun that was used in the shooting as a Christmas present in 2023.
