For years I have used CNN as my daily go-to spot to get news. I know its slanted toward one party, but I can filter that out and still get decent news. But lately they have gone to paywalls all through the site. I signed up for a free account which seemed to help for a while, but now its even worse. I logged into a computer wihtout signing into my cnn account and i hit less paywalls than when I am logged into my account. So, I'm going to give up on that one. Right now I am trying out pbs.org. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/

Its okay, but a bit difficult to learn to navigate. I haven't hit any pay walls yet though.

Any suggestions?

I noticed that about CNN too and it's aggravating. I use ABC news and Reuters now.

1440 is decent. Your best bet is to read a variety of sources: Left and right. You just have to be smart enough to know when the bias is creeping in and the facts are being distorted to fit a narrative.

UJ should see if there is a government grant available to study what the overall effect of the opinions of all the old bastards on here vs. current common core media reporting. At least we could update the server.
