I'm convinced that no one likes Bloody Marys

But me. I don't think I've ever seen anyone drinking one in public. And I've been to a lot of brunches. Also any time I bring up making them at family or friend get togethers they all say they don't like them.

Just had the bliody beast at Sobelman's in Waukesha. Bloody's are big around here

If I'm at a good steak place I'll almost always get a Bloody Mary extra spicy.
I have noticed the quality of garnish in the drink has declined though (at least around here). Years ago at some places you could almost get an appetizer included with your drink.

I make a gallon batch of Bloody Mary mix using beef broth, atomic horseradish, a good amount of worcestershire, juice of 3 lemons, black pepper, and of course tomato juice. Clamato can be substituted for tomato juice and beef broth.

In Palm Springs, there is a bar called StreetBar (yes, it's a gay bar). Their Bloodys are fantastic as well

For a while there places got too focused on the garnishes, and not the mix.

Unless you go to a fancy-shmacy $$$ bar with well trained bartenders who respect their craft, you're gonna get a shitty Bloody Mary made from crap vodka and crappier mix. Love yourself and learn to make your own at home.
