My mom came down to stay the long weekend and spend time with her great grandson, always nice to have a full house. Their collective laughter when together is one of the most melodic sounds I will always cherish.
I did up a proper ham with pineapples and cherries, dressing that fucker was a pain in the ass with tooth picks to hold it all together.
Made a side of potatoes au gratin from serious eats and I don't know why I waited this long to make them, they are EPIC -

Hope you all had a chance to surround yourself with family and friends this fine day, long weekend for myself as tomorrow is the Boston Marathon and we will be be enjoying watching the runners as they pass by.
