I can certainly understand the temptation. Iran is completely exposed right now. The only piece of the puzzle that is missing is going deep underground and blowing up their centrifuges. So close to putting them out of business for making a bomb.

However, I just don't think the reward is worth the risk. Sure it would be easy to do, but what would it actually change in the long run? Iran is either going to change its tune and join the rest of the world or it isn't. I think Iran has had the real damage done that was needed. Their capabilities of defending themselves are exposed. Their limit on long range missles has been exposed. They are going to have to spend a ton rebuilding to get back to where they were. A bunch of their key scientists are dead. And more importantly, there is a ground swell of people that want to return to the type of leadership the Shah provided back in the 70's.

I say let Israel continue to do what they do. If getting the USA to do the underground work isn't an option, then maybe they will figure out how to get some spies underground to blow some things up. They are pretty crafty. My plan would be to give Iran an opening to come back to negotiate without looking like they are surrendering and get it over with.

and "giving them the bunker buster" isn't an option because they don't have any planes that can carry it. And the precision required to hit the exact same spot multiple times would require our plane and our pilots. "We" have never even used this bomb in combat conditions. I don't think these bombs are the same ones that we used to try to blow Osama out of the caves of Afghanistan.

Let Isreal play the bad cop, later when they're done we can play let's make a deal. This is not something the average Iranian gives 2 shits about. They want to survive the week without paying off the religious cops, and have food. Neither have been easy under the rule of the religious dictatorship. Their protests are met with bullets, the women who want to go to school, vote, and be able to leave the house on their own are kidnapped, raped and murdered by those who claim they are religious police. If the government falls that would be a blessing to the people but there is always someone worse standing in b the wings.

Sad thing is they have been in some kind of friction in the middle east for over 2k years. If Iran gets a nuke and it does not matter what size...the odds of its use will go up exponentially. The regime in charge would see it as a duty at soon point to deploy it...just my opinion.

we need to go finish what we started the first time around. i wouldn't be shocked if Iran started using their "nukes" if they really have them. there are a lot of allies to Iran and this shit could pop off quickly. you dont think china and russia are looking to expand? i say bomb the shit out of them and when they think we are done...bomb the shit out of them some more. we need to send a message to all of these assholes.
