Do you asshole stand living down here? I'm on the gulf coast in Alabama and the heat is annoying as hell. Fucking humidity has me feeling like i have to swim through the air. Glad I bought some goldbonds for my nuts. Seriously, I hate the heat for long term. Give me cool weather and a snowy day.

the gulf coast is sort of like one of those invisible electrical shock collars that people put on dogs to keep them from getting out of the yard. The weather in Canada sort of has the same effect.

I worked on a golf course for 30 plus years ,

Sunscreen, now they have clothes that breathe, protect you from the uv rays. Wear a hat, shades, stay hydrated and enjoy life it can be gone in an instant

My primary home in Dallas gets brutally hot during the summer, as does my Arizona home. Big difference is that in AZ, I can drive 90-120 mins and be 20-30 degrees cooler in Payson, Prescott, Sedona, or Flag. In Dallas, if I drive that far I'm in Oklahoma, Waco, Abilene, or Wichita Falls, none of which provides any relief

But all things being equal, I'm with Blast; I'd like to live in a more northern, cooler climate. One day maybe

There is a lot to not like about the CA economy and its' politics, but San Diego has the best year-round weather. I may get a second place outside of CA, but I don't see myself ever leaving for good.

several years ago i had to plan a trip for a large group of people. My first choice was San Diego because of the weather. Until I found out how expensive everythng was. We ended up taking a cruise.

It's definitely not cheap here, but I don't find it more expensive than other large market cities. San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Scottsdale, Boston, not to mention London, all are on a par or more expensive for tourism.

Yea, pretty much. That's life here in Florida, brutal heat and heavy humidity, just the way it is. Either get used to it, or stay inside with the air conditioning on at 68. And *love* paying the power bill, neither they nor the house insurance bill is ever going to go done. Gawd help you if your A/C ever breaks down...

Thing about Alabama, like Mississippi and even Louisiana, is that the state is actually very habitable up north. People I know who live there up that side of state say they love it. Warm but not scorching, cool and lightly snowy, depending on the season, they don't complain. But the Gulf side, not good.

I'm from Galveston - Houston, it's actually worse there than Florida. Houston is known for temperature inversions, layers of cold and hot air over a very hot and still air bubble. During those times even perfectly healthy people die from it. At least we don't get those here.
