Most philosophies that are good and work well spread without having to kill is opponents. To me it seems like there is a beleif system out there that readily advocates suppressing and killing its opponents though. Can't seem to think what is name is though...

This is not sustainable. People need to back down and take a breath. A father was shot in front of his family. Why? Because people didn't like what he said? Cowards run from ideas and discussion, cowards try to suppress those they don't agree with, afraid of what they might say. This is straight up disgusting.

Charlies whole point was engaging in discussions with opposing viewpoints. He encouraged talking to people with differing beliefs. He felt, correctly, that if we didn't discuss our differences that we fail to learn.

It is unfortunate that someone like him would be forced to make the ultimate sacrifice --> But he stance on the 2A remains spot on.

I'm having a bit of a hard time being empathetic towards the death of a person who publicly denounced the idea of empathy towards others and also openly espoused violence and hatred towards those he felt were his political and ideological opponents. I do feel very sorry for his wife and children, doubly sorry that they were in attendance. But I have none for him, he showed he didn't care, so I don't need to give his life and death any concern in return.

At this point, we have no idea who it was that pulled the trigger and what their political and ideological stance was. Might have been a leftist, might have been a right leaner, might have been someone with their own separate agenda for killing him. Why are you so quick to blame Democrats or the left? Is it just that easy to focus your hatred that it blinds you to other explanations? I didn't want him dead, it's just this kind of violence that dividing our country and leading to its ruin. It just would have been nice if he'd actually reconsidered his own positions and quieted down.

And, by the way, there was a high school shooting near Denver yesterday. Just another school shooting, but let's just rend our clothes and gnash our teeth over Charlie, that's all that matters. Kirk said there would be, and should be, blood spilled to defend the 2A and rampant, mindless gun ownership. But it apparently wasn't supposed to be his.

Yeah, we're gonna need some examples of him promoting violence and hatred towards others.

Yes. I was. They also got the shooter but I can't recall what the reason was or if he's still alive, but if he is I hope he is currently being passed around a prison block. Political violence is not acceptable. At all. This is only going to spiral and those making excuses for contribute to it getting worse. This needs to stop before shit gets crazier.

Biden had 4 years to release them and did even less. If it is ever released it'll be after the biggest names on both sides are dead.

You’re correct it isn’t 100% sure it was a Democrat shooter. But it’s the way to bet.

Nitwits like yourself are so amusing. Epstein was so unimportant from 2019 to 2024 but now nothing is as important. Bill Clinton is on the flight logs to the island numerous times so nobody will know any more than what is already released which is plenty of 'nothing' and is all you and your fellow idiots will get. In 2007 West Palm bch police were ready to hang him then the Feds took over the case and gave him 'house arrest" Case closed. Do you get the picture? Anything really incriminating was run thru the burn bin years ago.Find something else to senselessly to A.C.D. about.

I'm sorry, QD but that is just objectively incorrect. He never espoused violence; he encouraged discussion and understanding as the basis for his entire platform on the college campuses. You can find any number of vids of him talking with college kids with differing views and encouraging communication. Even if some of his fans tried to mock, shut down or ridicule a speaker at an event he almost always told them to let them speak. He was firm in his beliefs, but he was always respectful and honest in his dialogue.
