Google Chrome Question

#1

Post by Animal »

I try to stay up to date, but all of the fraud protection stuff websites are putting on sites now is getting harder to understand.

I bought a part today online from a website holley.com. After I ordered it they set me up an account on their website so i could track the purchase. If I try to log onto the website with the username and pw they gave me in an email, it stops me during the sign in and says "Recaptcha not verified".

There is no box on the login page that you have to solve some little riddlel thing, but I did notice at the bottom there is a blue circle arrow in a little tab that says "recaptcha" If I hover it it gets bigger and has a link I can click that says ReCAPTCHA is changing its terms of service click to "take action". If I click that link it takes me to a page that is super confusing. I'm using google chrome and this page has a red exclamation point that says they are changing their terms of service and then there is a left arrow to click that says "Choose a key to Upgrade to Google Cloud Platform"'

Then I am taken to another screen with a bunch of confusing things to fill out.

Does anyone know what any of this is?

Do you have an adblocker/pop-up blocker installed?
