I'm a Disney shareholder so their "updated for modern audiences" failures bring me only a sliver of joy.
It will be a nice write off but fucking with beloved and cherished characters is not a solid business direction.
Turns out people didn't really want a Mexican Snow White and "7 Magical Creatures".

Private shareholders tried to stop the madness last year with a hostile takeover bid. We didn't have enough votes to overcome the institutional investors and entrenched board members though. The bullshit has slowed but it's still there.
