Why is it that TSA agents are not being paid?

I heard Hakeem Jeffries try to explain this Sunday and I was more confused after hearing him than before.
He said that if they would bring a bill before Congress today to start paying TSA agents he would get it approved.
Then they asked why was the government shut down in the first place? He said it was to keep from funding ICE because they kill everyone.
So, they said, "Well, ICE has been funded anyway and you knew that, so why the shutdown?" He said it was to punish ICE with no funding.
She said, "So if you start funding TSA, then what was the point of the shutdown in the first place". He said it was to show the american people they will not tolerate ICE doing what they have done to people.
She said, "Well if you start funding TSA then you have effectively ended the shut down and nothing was accomplished". Do American voters really fall for this kind of stupidity?

Because ICE is a paramilitary police force and republicans won't stand up to chump, people like you are why the Nazis could take power. What dem request to rein in ice specifically do your oppose? Need for warrants? Uncovering their faces and identifying themselves? Stop shooting citizens? Anything else?

'Paramilitary force'
So tell us, the Obama Admin deported over 3 million illiterate peasants during his administration. How was that different than now, where we are currently not getting anywhere close to that number

How does not paying TSA agents solve any of that?

He didn't employ a goon squad wearing combats with their faces covered? No US citizens rounded up or shot?
What do you understand the term paramilitary force to actually mean? The fact Obama was a more efficient and effective leader on immigration as on everything else doesn't affect what words mean

You dodged the question. I'll answer yours though since I'm not a mindless dimwit - they're leveraging the power of the purse to try to enforce policy change, specifically all the things you just dodged. Republicans are choosing to pretend there is no power left to Congress because they are too afraid to stand up to the dear leader. TSA can be funded anytime the republicans choose. Republicans have blocked proposals to fund the TSA while the broader dispute about funding the Nazis rumbles on and Chump has flat out said he won't approve any TSA funding until the voter suppression bill is passed.

This was in 2011. Under Obama during an ICE raid on a workplace. BEFORE Covid. It is very possible that your entire slant on the world has changed due to your hatred of Trump.

Tell us, with detail, how the ICE agents conducted themselves differently when arrested and deporting illegals from 2009-2017 compared to how ICE is deporting them now
Specifics will do

TSA is the ONLY thing not funded. This whole shutdown did one thing. It took funding away from TSA agents. If you fund the agents you have ended the shutdown. Much like you, its retarded.
If they are going to defund something in order to make some kind of point about purse strings, why don't they defund Congress.

They did not shoot American citizens on the streets of America. They did not incarcerate American citizens without due process. How about we start there?

The available reporting shows that 56 people died while in ICE custody during the Obama administration (2009–2017) [1][2], but the sources provided do not supply a definitive count of how many people were shot by ICE agents in the field during those years; records exist and some journalists have litigated to obtain them, yet a clear, published tally for the Obama-era years is not present in the supplied reporting [3]. Therefore: ICE-related deaths in custody under Obama are documented; whether and how many of those — or other incidents during that period — involved ICE agents firing their weapons cannot be confirmed from these sources alone [

Snopes says 67
During former U.S. President Barack Obama's eight years in office, 67 people in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement died.

At least one fatal civilian shooting by ICE agents during Obama’s presidency has been documented in later investigative work, as part of a broader count of ICE shootings across multiple administrations.

Out of 3 million? Sounds like an above average population health-wise for natural death.
Why are you fucking cretinous cowards just incapable of recognising and adressing what I actually say? This is why I left this echo chamber last time. What. Did. I. Say.
If your next answer does not state what I said I'm off and maybe check back in a couple of years. What did I say.

Barry also counted those turned away at the border as a "deportation".

Your perspective is why the bs phrase of "alternative facts" was introduced into the public sphere. Denying the reality you enabled doesn't make it less factual, even if your precious feelings are hurt having to defend it with whataboutism. You refused to address the facts, which led you to instead deflect to a time which has nothing to do with the lawlessness of today. When you go ask him to come back again, do it with an apology for being a little bitch.

A good example is the J6, which both of you insist that everyone calls it an insurrections. To him, and you, it is an indisputable fact

They showed up in Tshirts with that very date on them. In the morning. Who in the hell prints up Tshirts at 6am in the morning?
Unless the Tshirts had already been designed and printed up at least the day before, then distributed out.
But no, it was totally a on-the-spot meetup of "patriots" to protest something or the other.

Maybe 47 could try not golfing so damn much and the money used instead to pay the TSA.
President Donald Trump’s golf habit has now cost taxpayers at least $101.2 million in travel and security expenses since his return to office, a figure that is two-thirds of his first-term golf total and has him on track to spend $300 million by the end of his second term, according to a HuffPost analysis.
Trump’s arrival at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday morning marks his 56th visit there since his 2025 inauguration and his 110th day on a golf course that he owns — meaning he has played golf on more than one-quarter of his days since returning to the presidency.
“At a time when gas prices are spiking and Americans across the country find themselves in an ever-worsening affordability crisis, the president has burned through over $100 million in taxpayer money in order to make promotional appearances at his golf courses and hobnob with millionaires and billionaires,” said Jordan Libowitz with the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington watchdog group. “If his goal were to help struggling Americans out, one thing he could try is stop spending their money going to his golf courses.”
