Gardening 2026

23. I now have 23 rose bushes, over 40 different daylillies, 5 varieties of Asiatic Lillies, and maybe 5 to 10 Bearded Iris. I've also been killing off the grass on my boulevard to plant a pollinator prarie mix, and have the veggie garden planted.
This is year three of building my gardens. The front flower garden filled in amazingly fast. The driveway bed had a few plants fail and I found several pieces of granite buried in the bed. Again. These were buried 6 to 8 inches down and caused the failures. The cherry trees got caught by a late frost and killed the blossoms.

Awesome! More pics!
My lilies are absolutely crushing it this year.
I'll be planting the peppers and tomatoes today or tomorrow.

Not to bad for a crayon eater. ;)

We are finally trying a couple raised gardens this year in our back yard. Our normal garden spot is on a separate area of the property and has become a pain in the ass to maintain as we get older. Can't wait for the fresh tomatoes and hot peppers!

Latest pictures from the garden. The daylillies are opening, the asiatic lillies are in full bloom and I'm. Starting to get peppers. The area I refer to a my vinning garden is struggling again. I think after this year I'm going to have to do some serious soil work, or the pumpkin seeds I had were no good.

Those are beautiful! The lavender roses are my favorite though.

Thanks Disco. It's great coming home to see everything like that in the back yard.
I just placed those this spring. This winter i'm building a custom trellis setting it up to lead into Window gates.

That's inspiring to know they were planted just in the Spring. I've got some iris and tulips outside that were here when we bought the place, I think they've gotta be 25+ years old. I'm gonna (hopefully) divide them and what not this fall because the iris didn't bloom this Simmer. I've got two massive 5ft wide hosta out front that seem otherworldly.
