And That's that

After moving here 17 years ago to Iraan to take care of my elderly parents, I'm gone.Put my house on the market today. Valued at $170,000. Good luck getting even close to that within 2 years. Bad timing but I'm gone forever. I'm thinking between the probated will and stock value options and maybe selling the house, I'm building a shack on some secluded beach. Last time in my life to wing it. Fish for my dinner in the Gulf and some such.

Your Dad didn't leave you the house in his will? You have to sell it to share with your Brother and Sister?

Do you really think that you can get property, and build a place on a beach, and live the rest of your life on a couple hundred grand? Jesus fuck dude, you are in a cruel awakening.

He'll get less than $60 grand after splitting it with his brother and sister and paying off the lawyers.

Well, he probably is pretty bummed and instead of keeping his daydreams of escaping a one horse town and burning up in scorching desert heat at work coming home to an empty house with a broken air conditioner in his stupid head he comes here to vent

I've mentioned this several times for 10 years, I moved here around 2004 and bought this house to take of my parents. When my Mom died in 2009, got Dad to sell his home and moved him into here. It's mine though tons of furniture and antiques, family heirlooms, etc will be split 3 ways. I miss him bad.

Thanks DT. I'm still in shock 6 weeks later but I had 11 years between their passing. You had 44 days. I can't even imagine the mental anguish you went through. Sleepless nights, depression at work, etc. Holy Shit. I know you were also caring for them.

You will remain in grief for a long while to come.
The best advice I can give you is to not make any rushed decisions. Take your time and think things out.
Hang in there.
