I would have also expected a little verbal play by play by the guy filming. especially if one of the houses was his.
i wonder if this is something that occassionally happens in that area or is completely unexpected? it looks as if there is a rock layer under neath several feet of soil and the soil became so saturated that it liquified and slid against that rock plane. If this doesn't happen very often, then they must have had record rains or something unusual in recent weeks.

Post-glacial rebound, aka isostatic rebound, where the land rises back up after being compressed by the weight of ice during the last set of ice ages. It often leaves the top layers of land spongy. The rebound works not only vertically, but horizontally, so the top layers move up and out. I'd have to wonder about the property taxes and possible code enforcement liens to have to settle before I could even start working on the house itself. And if it's going to be used for commercial purposes, there are building codes to worry about, big expensive ones.
