Ugh. Has the Tigers contract foolishness not taught anybody anything? The Tigers are paying Miguel Cabrera something like 22 mil per year...which was fine when he was in the prime of his career and earning every cent. Now on the downside of a great career that contract is an albatross. Long term deals like that almost never work out for the franchise. Its great for the player but not so much the team and fans.

Philly fans will be incensed when hes getting 25 million per and hes a shell of his former self. The booing will be legendary.
