everyone has that drawer. its usually right above the drawer that you fold up tin foil that has been used. so you can reuse it later.

You USE the Christmas towels? Growing up I would have got scolded. "That's only for display! Use a regular one."

Oh fuck, thats nothing. My grandmother saves bread bags and zip lock bags. Shes even been known to wash disposable plates and she wont use the actual garbage bin because it wastes bags. Instead she'll hang a grocery bag on a knob in the kitchen and use that. She lived through the war and the aftermath in Germany so I gotta give her some slack though.

my mother inlaw...who doesn't speak English has a lot of these quirks. she fold all of your plastic grocery bags into balls and stores them for garbage...saves everything we get from a take out meal...etc

It was fun watching mom play “match the lid” for the saved plastic containers when she sent folks home with leftovers.

We have a Lazy-Suzy cupboard in the corner of our kitchen with 3 tiers on it. My wife keeps about 50 plastic containers in there. The lids for the containers are in a drawer next to the cupboard.
I shit you not, my wife can grab a plastic container and then go to the lid drawer and go straight to the proper lid for it. She does it every fucking time!
It's creepy.
