I still spend a stupid amount on fireworks but now I have teenage kids to shoot them off for me.Whackov wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 2:19 pmThe legality of fireworks varies here. The unwritten law is that this is a written law that is widely ignored. You cannot buy them in Nashville/Davidson County but every county adjoining Davidson sells them. I used to love shooting them but I am past that now.

If you want to know where the problem is, take a look in the mirror.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 12:50 amI never said any differently. If you can't see the "3 children" I have to deal with daily, then the problem I'm sorry to say is with you. It's no big deal. Like any children, they get all stirred up, running around making noise until they run out of steam. Then they crash and adults can start talking again. I call CQ out, because the whole thing is way beneath him. He doesn't seem to be listening. So, then the whole shit starts again tomorrow. You know, children.Whackov wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 12:28 amThis is one thing that I don’t get about you throwing out the noob label. Pretty much everyone on here was at the old UJ a hell of a lot longer than you.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 11:25 pm Would you go Noob somewhere else. As usual, you have nothing to contribute to this thread. Or any others as far as I can tell.

I’ll be at my girlfriends house. Cops are very liberal and quite scattered. So maybe I will launch some bottle rockets. Makes me a rebel, doesn’t it?

How close to the trees is that bonfire? That would be trouble in my neck of the woods. Must be nice to get water in your forests.

Re: Fireworks for the 4th?
Very close, the bark on one tree caught fire and I soaked it down with a indian can. We've had a couple inches of rain the last two days so I wasn't too concerned. But I have once caught a hemlock on fire about 50 feet up about 7 years ago.

Did it burn itself out or did you have to go MacGyver on it?
You couldn't start that fire in the middle of that clearing near me. We have had a couple inches of rain in the last few years.
The photo from distance is cool.

Re: Fireworks for the 4th?
It burned itself out and a few years later the whole tree came down during Hurricane Sandy and it too went in the bonfire. We do this twice a year and the clearing gets a little bigger every year. I remember 23 years ago this was all forest.Burn1dwn wrote: ↑Sun Jul 04, 2021 12:51 pmDid it burn itself out or did you have to go MacGyver on it?

Re: Fireworks for the 4th?
Thanks for the info. I just threw out 2 hour show guessing. It would seem if you had a half-million people attending, with all the travel, parking hassles etc you would stretch it out a lot longer than 18 minutes.Burn1dwn wrote: ↑Sun Jul 04, 2021 7:53 pmHere is a cool insight to it.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sun Jul 04, 2021 3:58 pm July 4th, 2012 San Diego.
