I spent the holiday weekend in South Dakota and was shocked to see all the Trump attire worn by people and being sold, including t shirts and hats claiming the election was stolen. I admit that I laughed off the Trump cult thing but I was wrong. It is a cult

I have to wonder how badly advised Trump has been by his panels of lawyers he's used thru the years. Or how badly he's ignored that advice when he's even bothered to listen to it. You want to stay legal, you follow the law and have well documented reasons when you can't. Has Trump really lived a life in la-la land where laws and codes really only mean what he wants them to mean?

I've had a corporate car for about a dozen years now, and never payed a dime in taxes on it for personal use. My company carefully follows the IRS tax code, and insists that I do by the rigorous keeping of mileage logs for both corporate/personal use. I pay $125 a month for that privilege, all gas, taxes, fees, and insurance is paid by the company. As long as I don't consistently go over reasonable limits of personal use, I don't risk any tax bill. And any of us with this privilege were made to understand that when we first got the car. And yea, some fuck up and keep poor (or no) logs, and they get a tax bill, and it can be pretty damn onerous. They fuck up once, and they rarely do it again. Same with corporate residences when permitted, follow the tax code and we won't have a problem with the arrangements. But that's because we follow the advice of good corporate tax lawyers, from the CEO and all the CxOs down to us miserable fucks at the bottom of the food chain. We pay for the advice, we follow it, pretty simple. And we accept the consequences when we don't.
