that has got to be a joke. no one is that stupid.
Imagine doing something like that and forgetting to put a magazine into the weapon. What an amateur!

So what. There could still be a chambered round.

LOL. Whenever we would go shooting at my father's range, after you were done shooting, you would remove the magazine, lay the gun on the table, and yell "safe." We wouldn't check the targets until everyone's hands were off their weapons, even if the mag was out and the gun was just sitting on the table.

LOL. Regardless, this guy looks like one of those soy boys who would get PTSD if he had to fire one shot.
I can’t find it, but, there is a meme of a reported describing the trauma he had from firing an AR-15 comparing him to an 8 year old girl saying “That was fun!”
I saw that. What a fucking puss.

That procedure makes a ton of sense. But how long until complacency takes over and you get lazy with a few of the steps?

You don't honestly believe that they would allow a fully functional AR-15 into a courtroom, do you?

That weapon would have been disabled before it ever entered the building let alone the courtroom.

I grew up with guns. I spent 15 years going to the cop range every Saturday morning with my Dad. All the cops would bring their personal guns with them. I couldn't even hazard a guess at how many different kinds of guns I fired during those 15 years.

would you pick up a rifle, shoulder it, put your finger on the trigger, and aim it around a room full of people? Regardless of what you think might have been done to disarm it?

shit, i won't even pull a trailer unless I check myself to make sure its hooked up right.

I'm not saying what he did wasn't stupid.
I'm saying that the chances of that weapon being able to fire a chambered round was below next to nil.

well, as long as you agree that what he did was pretty stupid, that's enough for me. i would guess the jury thought the same thing.

You don't- that's what the whole gun safety thing is about. It's like an airline pilot going over his checklist before every flight. It's 1,2,3,4 until the very end. You NEVER skip even one.

reminds me of a Christmas card I got my son when he was about 11 or 12,showed a woman yelling out the door "No Jimmy the carrot doesn't go on the snowman there!". My mom wasn't too happy about it. When he was about 6 or 7 I got a game for him called "Big John" ,no,not Big John Holmes, this game had a little toilet and you dropped "scuzzies" (turds) into it and eventually the toilet flushes. Mom made me take that back to the store.

Just to freak people out. I bought my wife a bicycle before we were married. When her aunt saw it she made her return the bike and then kneal in rocksalt in front of this Jesus shrine thing as punishment for riding the bike. Her aunt said it would rob her of her virginity. I told her the only way I think that would happen would be if you ride it with out a seat and fall onto the post that the seat attaches to.
