Aaron Judge owes Jesus Tinoco a case of good whiskey!
Tinoco gave him a juicey softball right down the middle of the plate!
I bet that pitch didn't even clock in at 85mph.
What a nice guy!

I heard on the news this morning that the guy that caught the home run ball was escorted out of the stadium by security. They said the ball he had could be worth around $2.5 million.
I didn't see him. He sounded like an older guy. All he said on the radio when asked what he was going to do with the ball he said, "I haven't thought about it".

It is hard to commute from Green Bay, so I guess you're right.BigRedRetard wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 2:40 pmMeh. I doubt Aaron Rodgers would have done any better if he were juiced up. Looks like 2 others have more home runs than Rodgers.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of guys who have more home runs than Aaron Rodgers. But I'll have to go look it up.BigRedRetard wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 2:40 pmMeh. I doubt Aaron Rodgers would have done any better if he were juiced up. Looks like 2 others have more home runs than Rodgers.

when Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds were all taking turns breaking 60+ year old HR records all at the same time, i think that's a pretty definitive statement about what steroids can do to boost performance.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 2:51 pmI'm pretty sure there's a lot of guys who have more home runs than Aaron Rodgers. Honesty, I don't think he'd make a very good hockey coach.BigRedRetard wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 3:00 pmOops. I have football on the brain. Wasn't that move used by Moe of the Three Stooges?

The guy who caught the ball is a VP of Fisher Investments out of Dallas.
Probably not hurting for $$ right now.
Better than that cretin Zack Hample who bought and entire section of seats in TOR only to come up empty.

is there a process that these guys go through immediately after they get a souvenier like that where they get some kind of authentication? I mean, a baseball doesn't have a serial number or anything, so what do they do to make sure THAT ball is specifically identified as THE ball and no one can attempt to duplicate it?

In this case, MLB authenticated it right after he caught it. They put a sticker on it and catalog it to authenticate. They have him catching it with his glove on camera. He left the stadium afterward with secuirty. He says he hasn't yet decided what to do with the ball lol.Animal wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:02 am is there a process that these guys go through immediately after they get a souvenier like that where they get some kind of authentication? Dude was offered $2 million for it before he even left the stadium.8-TrackJones wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:21 amIn this case, MLB authenticated it right after he caught it. i think that company announced that offer before Judge even hit it. like before the game. This is kind of like when they auction the grand champion steer at the State Fair. It turns into a big publicity stunt for whoever is doing the bidding.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:32 amDude was offered $2 million for it before he even left the stadium.8-TrackJones wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:21 amIn this case, MLB authenticated it right after he caught it. First offer is usually your best offer.
