I don't think the Detroit Lions prepped very well. A couple of head-scratchers there.
Agreed...I do not know what they were thinking on this one.
That Campbell pick was a bonafide
WTF !!! moment.

Wow... Houston gave up a haul for that #3 pick.
#12 in the 1st round
#2 in the 2nd round
1st round pick in 2024
3rd round pick in 2024
About what Carolina did sans DJ Moore to move up from 9 to 1. Have to wait and see if the picks pan out over the next few years. I think it'll probably work out for them as long as the owner lets the adults run the show.
I applaud the Texans for showing some balls, but... the Anderson pick was a little weird. Yeah, he's a crazy good talent (who could have easily gone #1 in the draft) but the Texans are already pretty solid at OLB and they weren't really in need at that position.
But, I guess when there's a talent like that sitting on the board... you go get it.
He is a talent but look who will develop him...kids gotta shot to be really special.

I thought he may go late 1st into the second...was hoping Carolina would have a shot at him. I do like Trenton Simpson from Clemson though.

If he doesn't go early (Lions? Saints? Falcons?) he may not even go in the 2nd.

What grade do you give Arizona on how they played the first round. They make that trade (above) with Houston to go from #3 to #12. Then turn around and give away their other 2nd round pick (and gain a 5th round, I think) to move up to #6 and pick Paris Johnson.
That seems like a brilliant move to go from 3 to 6, but then to use the pick on Paris Johnson? I had seen Johnson as ranked between #12 to #16 in the draft rankings before this started. They obviously wanted Johnson from the get go and then got nervous and traded up to make sure.

That certainly was the hard way of going about it. But Johnson is a great fit in Arizona and should thrive there. And the Cards still ended up keeping the 2nd pick in the 2nd round and they've got 3 picks on the 3rd.
I'd rate that move a strong B+

Maybe. But he needs to go early. The bottom half of the 2nd round has no need for QB's.

Apparently, there were "personality" issues during team interviews. Sounds like the kid has an ego and is a little too cockey for his own good.
I'm sure he's not feeling very cockey right now.

i have a hard time believing that an NFL team would pass up a QB because he once had a toe injury.

So, the Titans have now drafted a QB in 2 consecutive drafts.
I wonder what Ryan Tannehill is thinking right now.

It's funny when it gets down to round 4. Teams go on the clock and the pick comes in in 30 seconds.
It's like they're not even thinking about it anymore.
