the only call that I have seen Trump make lately was the one to get every single democrat to vote out McCarthy and leave the house at a standstill. He certainly pulled that one off.

Another thing you choose to remain blissfully ignorant about. If only we could put some kind of value or commodify that ignorance.

Trump encouraged House GOP’s launch of Biden impeachment inquiry
https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/13/politics ... index.html
“President Trump has gone on his social media account and said that we should be impeaching President Biden. Kevin McCarthy said we have an impeachment inquiry. You draw the conclusion,” Rep. Ken Buck, a Colorado Republican, told CNN. “When President Trump speaks, there’s a whole a lot of activists that get on board and the activists make their members aware of that. And so directly or indirectly, this impeachment inquiry was a result of President Trump’s pressure.”

“He doesn’t need to directly tell people what he wants – they know,” another source close to the former president said.

i have never denied that. trump has done a lot of stupid things. and they have to appease those MAGA members when he does. like mcCarthy allowing Matt's request to vacate the speaker going to a vote on the floor. Most of the times these things just blow away and are forgotten. But sometimes enough numbskulls latch onto them and they get results. Like vacating the speaker.

So when you say the only thing he’s done lately, that was what? A lie? An innocent error of memory? A convenient omission to paint a picture more favorable towards scoring political points? Just wondering because being disingenuous around here is a big deal.

So in a discussion about who's driving or directing the Republican party, you're going to limit your considerations to two weeks?

it was just a comment about who has been following his lead "lately". which is all of the democrats in the house. two weeks ago to be more specific.

it was in reply to your comment that Trump is calling the shots. And I just pointed out that the only shot he has called "lately" was the one that 100 % of the democrats in the house followed when they voted with Matt Gantz. Two weeks ago.

So if that's not of any substance, then its because the point you were trying to make is not of any substance. Thanks.

So if it's in reply to my comment or comments because you quoted nothing to refer to, during which I have been talking about what the GOP has done at the direction of Trump all year since taking charge of the House, you decided to narrow your focus to only the past two weeks. Gee, that's not suspicious or disingenuous at all. Again, zero substance from you. Try harder or go make concrete.

You're still commenting on politics?

You should take a hint like Jim Jordan and step away because it's not happening the way you think it is.

But wait! Jim Jordan was Trumps pick! Trump is the unquestioned leader of the party so he should have been a lock...what happened?

Sweet! So now you can hopefully understand why you are consistently labeled disingenuous.
You KNOW 96% of R's voted against Gantz and that he wouldnt have gotten anywhere without 100% Dim support but you cling to this ridiculous idea that the Democrats had nothing to do with it. Now look up "hack" to help you understand why youre also one of those.

Jordan started threatening his coworkers and their family if he didn't get their votes. They didn't like that.

Your party is slowly failing its way to irrelevance. This is the GOP penance for thirsting for power and enabling Trump.

Congrats.

Oh I fully understand why you want to accuse others of what you yourself do. But like your fake impeachment investigation, it's just a confession disguised as an accusation.

So what would the status of the House be right now if 100% of Democrats hadnt voted with the MAGAs?

You mean the vote enabled by McCarthy, and acted upon by Gaetz?

So why is it so hard for the GOP to find a Speaker worth voting for within their own party?

If Democrats are going to be expected to do the work of the minority and the majority, then it's time to start cutting some deals for bipartisan leadership. Clearly Republican oriented practices are a failure.

Yes, that one. So what would the status of the House be right now if 100% of Democrats hadnt voted with the 4% (Gantz and the MAGAs)?

You mean vote to keep the guy who lied his ass off since January about being willing to work with the Dems, and then completely re-negged on EVERYTHING? Yeah, he wasn't worth shit.

His cuckold performance while nominating the guy who's trying to take his job this morning was validation that the Dems did the right thing.
