Guess I'll have to watch it. Never seen a single episode.

Highly recommended. Steve Buscemi is great in it.

The first episode was directed by Martin Scorsese, and IMO was pretty fucking boring. I had to push past it but once I did it was a masterpiece of HBO TV all the way through.

You can also sadly ignore the final season. The show almost completely changed in style and writing, and just isn't the same as the first four seasons. BWI probably should have just ended at the fourth season, it pretty well wrapped up then. I'm a big Buscemi fan, and watching him and other talented cast members yuck up such drivel lines, I couldn't watch it.

Speaking of your local library, you should see if they provide either of these streaming services. I think they both similar. Ad-free and you can do 10 checkouts a month. My county library does Kanopy. Had to get a library card next county over for Hoopla
