Graduated college summa cum laude. was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. Was a helicopter pilot and Captain in the US Army. Completed Ranger School. After the Army he flew helicopters for a Petroleum company in Louisiana. He always wrote music and had been giving songs to Johnny Cash for years with no luck until he finally took a helicopter and landed it in Cash's front yard. That finally got him the attention from Cash to actually listen to his songs. And the rest is history, so to say. I'm going to miss him.
Frank Fritz from american pickers just kicked off. I always liked him. He was a rollerskater and he liked Elvis, about my age. I remember he bought an Elvis souveiner jacket one time and was just so happy. They were hard to come by. The lady that took me to see Elvis wanted to buy one that night and we got in right away but they were already sold out. The people told her at the smaller stadiums, (about 6400 or so that night) they don't bring many jackets. The night before they played Ann Arbor, I believe that was 15,500 people. Attendance records at both stadiums but that was always the case for Elvis. But back to Frank, I also had a kind of girlfriend back way back when, her name was Fritz and we had some fun. But Frank, I believe it said 60 , had had chrohns forever and had a stroke a few years back. Maybe he'll meet up with Elvis finally. That would be pretty cool!
I was in a musical in high school. I played one of 3 of us that were black minstrel type of folk. We were all in black face, I'm sure it wouldn't fly now. Finians Rainbow was the musical. My role was the 3 of us in the spotlight and I gave a long speech about "how they did begat" and drew a huge roar and then it went into the song "how they did begat, they begat Cain, begat Able, they even begat at the breakfast table!"
Yeah my brain, remembers just constant, useless bullshit. Kind of depressing, as I'd like to use it to make money. Oh well...
how about that line in Good Times theme song no one can figure? How about "hangin" in a chow line. Good Times!" courtesy of Chappelles show, no idea though if that truly was the correct lyrics.

Good Times.
Any time you meet a payment.
Good Times.
Any time you need a friend
Good Times.
Any time you're out from under.
Not getting hassled,
not getting hustled.
Keepin' your head above water,
Making a wave when you can.
Temporary lay offs.
Good Times.
Easy credit rip offs
Good Times.
Scratchin' and surviving
Good Times.
Hangin and a-jivin'

I guess he thought "Hangin and a jivin" sounded like "hangin in a chow line".
