I will say again that I think the ONLY solution to health care is to get the insurance companies out of the equation. Insurance is basically like a casino in Las Vegas. The odds are stacked in their favor and their incentive is to keep you at the table for as long as possible so they win more and more money.

Hospitals have to be privately run and operate on a profit. There must be competition among the hospitals for business just like any other business. If people get sick they go and they pay what it costs. If they can't afford to pay the bill, then the government steps in and picks up the slack. That is the part that has to be worked out. What role does the government play in picking up the slack? How is that doled out based on need?

This plan is tough because it completely blows up the current system. But the current system is unfixable like it is.

The biggest problem with the cost of houses are these:

1. Contractors are charging 2 or 3 times more to do the same thing right now. Since covid those costs have just skyrocketed.
2. Material suppliers have been bought out to the point that just a few large companies control the market and prices.
3. Property taxes continue to skyrocket. If the rates aren't going up, the appriasals are. They get you one way or another.
4. Insurance costs have also skyrocketed. And a lot of things they no longer cover or they have raised the deductibles to the point that you can't file a claim.

The common denominator in all of those things is Greed. All of these people coming to America for the American dream are more greedy than we ever imagined. One day we will regret the sales pitch of the american dream.
