Days since I drank alcohol. I hit the 2-year mark on June 8th. Yay.

good for you. I had quit from end of 1992 to end of 2003 then the divorce happened and lifelong family business closed and my dumbass started drinking agin. Not as bad as i was before mainly because I stay home and drink then make a sandwich or whatever and go to bed, as opposed to hitting 2 or 3 bars every night. I also quit smoking about 15 years ago, i only smoked when I drank but as soon as i had a beer i needed a cig. so all is not bad. But it's pretty weird to stop and how you feel so different with no alcohol. It was a drunk driving that cerced me to stop but I was really ready to stop, not too mention I usually did a little bit of coke every night back then also, which is something I never started back up on, i wouldn't have money for it now even if I wanted it but i just don't want to start with that stuff again. It was the 80's back then, seemed like just about everyone at the rock and roll bar I hung out in was doing it.

Thanks! It kind of has been hard, but overall not really. I'm spiritual in the sense that I feel that he's watching out for me, and I don't want to do anything to disappoint him. The whole experience has changed me on a molecular level.
