I get a kick about people complaining about the heat in August

My random thought is I wish there was a service in which a person could just go to dinner with the opposite sex, like not a date. I don't have any gay men friends or else I think that would be a fabulous dinner companion. Straight men would assume sex is part of the deal, and I have zero interest in that. I just want to eat dinner with someone who's a good conversationalist who also opens the doors for me.

This place was full of tumbleweeds the last couple times I've looked. But I have been conversing back and forth with a few of the folks who managed to Wade through the tumbleweeds! It's tough for me you know, I'm no contact with my family since 2020. My man was EVERYONE'S favorite. His death hit a lot of people very hard so a lot of my friends are gone. AND lucky for me and the other citizens of America, I stopped drinking over 2 years ago so I can't even go to the bars in like make friends.

I'll look into that. My son is obsessed with Brandon Sanderson's books The Stormlight Archives. I'm currently reading Parable of the Sower.
