I was referred for a microdiscectomy and that surgeon said no it’s way more extensive so I’m getting a disc replacement l4-l5 and possibly also l5-s1. Chronic pain is no joke and doing it sober sans pain management makes it suck so much worse. Had my appointment yesterday and the new specialist says absolutely you need this surgery! However I need you to go get a CT done because you have a genetic deformity and depending on the severity you might not be able to have surgery as all.
