Let's be very clear,. Trump did not want those tests going out...he didn't want any numbers making his re-election look bad....they screwed the pooch from the beginning and now they're trying to play catch-up.....he is a fucking fool his administration is full of fucking fools and you're a fucking fool
Fiction: The Trump Admin (despite your obvious TDS in need of mental help) is doing a terrible job.
Fact: As of this morning ( I know if will get worse over the next few weeks) nationwide something like 1,800 cases and 40 deaths. Factor out Washington state and it's 1,300 cases and 6 deaths. Let's take the wayback machine 11 years ago to 2009 under the Obama Admin. H1N1 virus outbreak. 61 Million Americans infected, 275,000 hospitalized and the death toll was 12,500. And not one peep of criticism of the Admin from the fawning LSM. This is why nobody gives any more credence to the media anymore. Nothing like a tragedy to push your agenda. So, Stapes just STFU. Your ignorance is painful for all to see.
Because Obama jumped on the crisis quickly and saved many lives. It would have been much worse if he had not.
Obama declared a public health emergency on April 26, 2009 after roughly 20 cases of the H1N1 flu strain, more commonly known as swine flu, emerged, and before a single swine flu death in the U.S. was reported. Such a declaration allows the government to unlock money for antiviral drugs and other medical preparedness measures. By April 29, Obama had requested Congress approve a $1.5 billion emergency funding package to combat the pandemic, The Associated Press reported at the time.
It was in October, after 1,000 U.S. deaths, that Obama made another declaration related to the flu strain; this time a national emergency.
That national emergency allowed the U.S. to activate operational plans, such as moving emergency rooms offsite to keep those infected with the virus away from other emergency room patients.
Last year, after Trump was criticized for declaring a national emergency at the border, Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer, of North Dakota, wrongly claimed that Obama overreached with such declarations during his time in office because he announced a national emergency in 2009 before a “single case” had been reported in the U.S. In fact, swine flu cases were active in 46 states when Obama made the declaration.
