In the suit, which runs more than 200 pages, James’ office details what it says are Trump's efforts to inflate his personal net worth to attract favorable loan agreements and alleges more than 200 instances of fraud over 10 years.

James said that Trump and his company falsely claimed their statements were prepared in consultation with outside professionals and that the documents blatantly violated “generally accepted accounting principles.” The alleged violations include representing that Trump had cash on hand that he did not, ignoring critical restrictions that would significantly lower property values, changing the methodology for estimating such values from year to year, using different methods for various properties even in the same year and including intangible items in the calculations.

At a news conference Wednesday, James detailed Trump and his company's alleged violations of state and federal laws by having “repeatedly and persistently manipulated the value of assets to induce banks to lend money” to the organization “on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company."

When applying for loans? Yeah, a whole lot of folks are gonna care.

Federal prosecutors in Baltimore used to call this statute — and its overwhelming and intimidating penalty — the Head Shot. If the rest of your case was insubstantial, if you couldn’t make the case you wanted to make, but you were on the spot for investigating a high profile target, then check the loan documents on that sucker’s house first. See if he made a false claim. Even if he was paying off the bank loan, or had paid the loan, even if there was no actual monetary loss, check the loan documents. It’s amazing how many Americans put more than their best foot forward when they are trying to convince a bank to back their mortgage.

And even for my company no bank or lender would rely on some financial statement that I prepared myself. They would want one prepared by my accountant, who would be licensed and would stake his license on the accuracy of those statements.

When they need a new loan, they won't report any repair/maitenence expenses on those properties so that it shows them being more profitable. Then, after the loan is closed, they go back and amend their returns to take the expenses.

Then if you took that to mean regarding your service, that is an incorrect assumption. Strictly about your political opinions and what you support as a result or byproduct of said support, and that is because your opinions are contrary to where you claim to stand, being middle of the road. If I had been referencing your service, I'd have probed for say where and how you served, but it's a non factor to your opinions or at least that would be my assumption.

speaking of age limits, etc. is it a good idea to allow a supreme court justice to decide to retire at whatever time "they" choose? Obviously, a conservative justice is going to plan that retirement at a time when there is a conservative president in office so that an acceptable replacement is chosen. Is that part of the plan for that system and is that too much power for those individuals to have? I am really not sure what an alternative would be.
