Me: stupid Christmas presents.

I got a chocolate open end wrench. Wtf? Just a bunch of useless stuff. A set of tv earphones. More stupid stuff I can’t even remember. Wife used to get mad if I didn’t want something. Now I return it, or throw it away.

Put a little effort into it! Also don’t get me something from the middle of the aisle at Macy’s. You know what I’m talking about. Last minute shit gifts for the man in your life.

For Xmas I paid off my wife's largest CC balance, and told her not to let it get that high again. She gave me several packages of socks, underwear, and a couple of nice pairs of work pants, even though I mostly wear jeans to work. On the whole it was a fairly even gift exchange.

Yea, likely. But next time she knows that card is strictly her problem, since it's only in her name.

Like most men, when I need something I just go get it. The result is I dont really need anything which makes gift getting tough.
Gift cards. I always ask for gift cards.

Restaurants, Home Depot etc. That way I can routinely take the wife and the kids out for dinner for zero cost to me or fix the crap around the house for zero cost to me.

Same. I got a VISA gift card, promptly went into wife's purse. Amazon gift cards I can use, but I always buy what I want regardless of whether or not there's money in the Amazon kitty.
