Future Technology predicted in Film- horrifying

2002/ Minority Report. Tom Cruise's character enters a store and it takes a retina scan- His favorite ads are broadcast as he moved through the store. Today, simply check on an item on Amazon and 2 days later on a totally different and obscure website, there it is wanting to know if you are still interested. And it's to the point, I don't want to do my monthly scans (wipe out cookies)because my YouTube video selections are wiped out. They've won and we had no chance. Discuss.

Can't you exclude YouTube in the cookie dump?

And, yes, I know not what you were talking about.

After seeing that Jennifer Lawrence-Buscemi Deep fake shit the other day. I can envison in the futre when we will have movies personalized for us. You will send in facial scans of you and your friends and family and it will be you starring in a movie instead of Tom Cruise. I'll be James Bond banging Octopussy and shooting bad guys out of helicopters. If this happens remember I called it.

I could see this happening in the gaming industry, and to an extent the porn industry as VR systems become more mainstream.

There is too much money and distraction centered around Hollywood actors and actresses. No way even if the tech existed would it be allowed to impact that industrial complex.

The level which technologies listen in on us is a bit disturbing.

One has to wonder how long it will be before the more disturbing aspect of Minority Report comes to fruition; and people are arrested before committing crimes because their devices heard them talking about something illegal and the police reacted.
