This will be the most watched baseball game (and possibly most watched sporting event) in history.

How many here will be watching?

yeah, i can easily see how that could edge out a superbowl at 110 million viewers. All they have to do is double the previous record. or 165 million that watch the kickball championship.

Global, not local. Besides, I figured you'd be delighted that losing teams from Cuba, Mexico, the Dominican, Venezuela, etc. will now go back to their home country.

I watched Mexico/Japan from beginning to end. By far the most exciting non-Padres baseball game I have seen. So many highlights and emotion from the teams and fans.

These knockout games have been fun to watch. I'll be watching.

That was a mean slider. The previous pitch was a fastball at 100 mph that Trout swung through. Ohtani is crazy good. Congrats to Japan who went undefeated in the WBC.

Now if Ohtani could just get on a real Major League team, he might have a successful career.

I can't see Ohtani going to an east coast team. Makes those flights back to Japan too long.

I think he'll try to stay on the west coast.

Mets may be competing with San Fran. Can't see the Dodgers doing it unless they get rid of a couple of players.

Not to mention, if there's a MLB team that's more likely to make a player disappear from all the fans' consciousness than the Angels, it's the Mariners.

The Dodgers didn't spend in the off season to reset their luxury tax amount back to zero. They will be going after Ohtani, and he won't even have to move.
