Do you drink enough coffee?

All the news from the peanut gallery and where all the nasty trash talk fails miserably.

Study says drinking 4 cups of coffee a day in middle age will help you when you’re older.

First, I'm 62 now, is that beyond "middle-aged"?

But I was easily doing a full pot maybe a pot and a half of black coffee every day during my 30's into the mid 50's. I might just live forever now... ;)

Then I started to realize it was affecting my sleep as well as my guts, and so tried to quit cold turkey. Ooof, that was a mistake!

Having the shakes, terrible dreams involving anxiety, and brick-hard constipation, among other symptoms, was no way to live a life.

I'm down to one or two mugs a day now, none after 5pm, I'm doing much better now! :D
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

I am 56 and probably have 3 cups a day, none after noon.

I suppose I did drink a bit more in my 20 and 30s, but not much.

one cup 5:30 am. usually, Starbucks on the way to the gym. its the only one open at that time. i lost my sense of smell and taste when i got covid the first time in 2020 and it never came back...it could be gas station coffee and i wouldn't know the difference.

At least 2-3 cups depending on when I need to start my day.

put 7-11 on that cup and make it out of paper or styrofoam and that's what 90% of the guys on a construction site at 6:30 am look like.

in my area all of the gas stations are unmanned in the early mornings. in the last year i have purchased gas once and it was to fill my boat. i did notice gas was 5.49 a gallon this weekend. having electric vehicles has saved me a ton of cash.

Oh crap...you need to move. Read in the National Enquirer that the big one was coming there...don't know if it was an earthquake or John Holmes. Either way you are fucked...no pun intended.

On a serious note, is the Newsome regime going to ban the sale of gas or diesel burners in the near future?

someone needs to ban diesel burners in Texas. I just paid $17,500 to have a diesel truck fixed that had fucking problems with the fucking exhaust fucking bullshit fucking diesel particulate filter fucking system and reline the fucking fuel tanks. This green bullshit they are putting on all diesel engines is going to bankrupt the contractors.

For the past several years Diesel engines (all diesel engines) have been going through a stepped transition (Tier 1, Tier 2, etc.) to get more carbons out of the exhaust. The method they came up with is to computerize the exhaust system and burn the shit out of the exhaust and filter it through a multi stage filter system. DEF is part of that process, the stuff you have to add to another tank every time you fill up with diesel. Regen-ing the engine is another step in the cleaning process. Fuel filters is an $8,000 mistake that you will make at some point because its impossible not to lose a high pressure pump due to dirty fuel. The end result is a nightmare in computer glitches that only certified mechanics with the thousands of dollars computer equipment can reset, upgrades that have to be made to the computers by mechanics that charge by the $1,000's to come work on it, breakdowns that cost at least 5 digits $$ each time. It is literally a nightmare. I just ordered gas engine 1 ton pickups for the first time in 25 years. My foremen are going to hate me, but fuck these diesel engines.

No shit. Thanks for the info. As usual, it's forced government regulation without time for the industry to adjust that's probably to blame.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what VW got into deep shit about a few years back. Cheating on the diesel test results?
