I'm heading there in a couple of weeks, and I need some good restaurant recommendations.
(I don't trust internet reviews... they're all fucking bots)

The only good thing about Baton Rouge is the pretty way it looks in your rear-view mirror. Seriously...

Yes, been there a number of times when I still lived in Houston. Maybe if you stay in its downtown area, it's not so bad. LSU has a nice main campus. But the rest of the town truly sucks. Really it does, even worse than Houston sucks.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Louisiana is only slightly ahead of India in places I definitely dont want to go visit.
I would only consider New Orleans if I could zip in and out for some good Cajun restaurants. I do love me some Cajun food.

Was told for you to check these out...

Mid-City Beer Garden....50 beers on tap and great burgers

The Chimes...Good Cajun food. Boudin balls are one of their attractions along with the salmon sandwich and the shrimp and grits.

Superior Grill...Mexican with really strong Marg's.

Stabbs...great steakhouse with every bourbon that's a good bourbon under the sun

Walk On's...sports bar...nothing bad on the menu. Think Drew Brees started that chain.
